Natural Hypoallergenic, Fragrance Free, Dye Free Soap
Just Pure Soap
Pure, white, and all-natural. Those are the three simple words that describe our Natural Soap that’s hypoallergenic, fragrance free, and dye free. At Falls River Soap Company, we know that there are some ingredients that, no matter how gentle they claim to be, just aren’t. So we sought after a soap formula that was truly free from anything that could even remotely trigger allergies or sensitive skin. You’re left with a pure white, organic soap bar that is as close to natural cleansing as we could get.
What Goes Into Our White Soap Bar
Some people with sensitive skin laugh in the face of all of those “extra gentle” or “specially for sensitive skin” products. For those people, nothing ever seems to be gentle enough to treat their extra, extra sensitive skin. We understand those people, and we know exactly what they can use on their skin. That’s why our Natural Soap contains only five ingredients. That’s right. All we need is five ingredients to give you a gentle and natural clean with added moisture. We use filtered water, lye, organic coconut and rice bran oils, and organic shea butter.
Water and Lye (aka Soap Waiting to Happen)
Lye and water is what saponifies (turns into soap) and creates natural glycerin. This is the magic product in our soaps. Glycerin is a fantastic moisturizer. It helps to cleanse the skin cells without causing irritation. It also helps skin cells mature and helps the cells to retain their moisture. Some people claim it makes a fantastic treatment for dermatological problems like eczema or psoriasis all on its own.
Coconut and Rice Bran Oils
Coconut oil is naturally antibacterial and antifungal, so it helps to get rid of any nasty germs so that your skin is truly clean. It’s full of natural antioxidants like Vitamin E, which helps repair skin cells and prevents skin cracking. It’s a deeply penetrating moisturizer because of it’s fatty acids, and is known for its gentleness on skin. Rice bran oil has similar properties and is likewise packed with Vitamin E. It also contains Vitamin A and is naturally emollient, so it both hydrates and protects the skin.
This luxuriously hydrating natural ingredient is great because it is anti-inflammatory. It can help calm any existing skin issues. It has minerals and acids that help the skin to balance any oil issues while adding moisture. It also encourages collagen production to make skin smoother and stronger. Skin will stay softer and more hydrated when Shea butter is applied.
How to Properly Use Our Soaps
Using an all natural soap with so few ingredients may be daunting. You might be wondering if this hypoallergenic soap will truly work, and if it will hold up to daily use. The answer is most definitely yes! Any natural soap can work wonders when used the right way. Because our soap is preservative and chemical free, you can’t abuse it like you can some store bought soaps. Follow these simple tips to get the most out of our organic Natural Soap.
Let the Soap Drain
If our soap bar isn’t allowed proper drainage and air circulation, it can become soggy and even begin to disintegrate. This is because of all the natural oils and glycerin. You don’t want to waste our precious soap and let it get rancid. Purchase a soap dish that has good drainage. You can even find soap dishes made from organic and hypoallergenic materials online.
Find a Good Keeping Place
Put your soap dish in a dry area that gets good air circulation, like the top shelf of a shower storage tower or on a shelf in the bathroom near the shower. Dark, musty bathroom cupboards are not a friend to our hypoallergenic soap. Make sure that it isn’t in direct sunlight, though. This can cause problems with the chemicals and can lead to a melted soap bar.
Keep Your Hands Off the Soap
If you feel that your soap bar is being used up too quickly, try using a washcloth, loofah, sponge, or bath scrubbie. Rubbing the soap on the skin using only the hands results in a lather on both sides which uses up the soap more quickly. For a quick and fun fix, buy a large oblong sponge and cut a large hole in the center. Insert our organic soap bar and you have gentle soapy sponge.
Our Simple Process Matters
An important reason our hypoallergenic soap is a great option for those with sensitive skin is our soap making process. We don’t mess around with chemicals or preservatives to make our soap better. We let the lye, water, and natural oils and butters do their thing and saponify into a gentle, moisturizing cleanser. Handmade with no dyes, no fragrances, and nothing allergenic. If you have sensitive or irritation prone skin, please give our organic soap a chance. You’ll find that it is a pure and truly gentle clean like nothing you’ve experienced.
